Lord of the Lost: The Fonda Theatre - Los Angeles, CA - 2/7/26

German dark rock band Lord of the Lost made their return to Los Angeles for the second time. They are currently on tour promoting the release of their eleventh studio album Opvs Noir Vol. 2. It is the second of the albums in a trilogy with Vol. 3 set to be released on April 10th. Joining them on tour is Canadian goth rock band The Birthday Massacre and the Duke of Spook Wednesday 13. The second to last stop on the tour was at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California. A Saturday night was perfect for this, and the show was almost sold out in classic Los Angeles style.
Wednesday 13 released his tenth studio album Mid Death Crisis in 2025. If you’re a fan of shock rock from artists like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson, then you’ll have no problem being a fan of Wednesday 13. The venue was already packed by the time W13 came out and started their show with “When the Devil Commands” from the newest album. The band came out in their traditional shock rock attire giving themselves spooky vibes. The next song was also from the new album titled “Rotting Away.” Wednesday 13 knows how to work the audience and even asked them at one point who at the show had never heard of them before and this was their first W13 show. Plenty of hands went up and he welcomed them into his family. The show continued as he played songs from his other bands including “197666” from Frankenstein Drag Queens from Planet 13 and “Summertime Suicide” from horror rock band Murderdolls which featured ex-Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison. After a criminally short setlist, W13 finished their set with “I Love to Say Fuck” as he brought out an umbrella with a middle finger and also had the audience raise their middle fingers. An incredible performance and hopefully they come back again soon with a much longer set.
The Birthday Massacre released their tenth album Pathways in 2025. There were plenty of fans in attendance as they wore their merch and their line for merch didn’t get any shorter even after their performance ended. The lights went out once again and the venue cheered as the band members made their way to the stage. The last one to come out was vocalist Sara "Chibi" Taylor who has been the band’s original lead singer since the band’s formation in 1999. The first song performed by them was “Counterpane.” As usual, the band had the stage bathed in their traditional blue and purple lights to match the theme of their album artworks. To match their goth and pop sound, TBM continued playing classic tracks like “Blue,” “Stars and Satellites,” “One,” and “Happy Birthday.” No matter what song was playing, their fans were singing along to the catchy music and were most definitely happy to have the band playing for them. Their set came to an end with “Red Stars”, and fans were sad to see them leave even though it felt like the band had played for over an hour. They will definitely be back in LA real soon and fans will be looking forward to it.
Lord of the Lost came out to a full packed venue, and it was a huge upgrade from before as this was only their second time in Los Angeles. This was a huge sign that they have a big following in Los Angeles and are more than capable of packing venues. They came out and started their show with Bazaar Bizarre from the new album. They got a strong start and reception from fans. The show continued as they played tracks from throughout their 19-year career which included “Prison” and “Drag Me to Hell.” One of the highlights of the show was when they brought out Wednesday 13 to sing with them the single from their upcoming new album, “I Hate People.” Since they were both on tour, it made sense for them to play the song and sing a duet of it. The crowd was vibing to the music as they banged their heads, raised their horns and danced to the music. More dark tunes were played which included “Priest,” “Loreley,” and “Light Can Only Shine in the Darkness.” Singer Chris “The Lord” Harms spoke to the audience about how great it was to come back to Los Angeles and how he loved seeing everyone in attendance and how they got a much bigger crowd and venue from the first time that they came to Los Angeles. To end their set, Lord of the Lost played “The Things We Do for Love.” Lord of the Lost took a picture with the audience, said their goodbyes, then left the stage. A great tour all around and hopefully it’s not long before all three bands come back to play more amazing music.
