The Warning: Fonda Theatre - Los Angeles, CA - 9/11/26
The Warning is a rock band from Monterrey, Mexico. The group consists of sisters Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra Villareal. They released their fifth album Everything’s Falling on August 28, 2026. Their career originally started when they started doing covers and uploading them on YouTube which got them attention from the original bands. Within the past few years, they have exploded in popularity and have been performing around the world to sold-out venues. They announced three shows at the Fonda Theatre and, to no surprise, all three sold out. Even before doors opened, a line formed around the venue as their dedicated fans eagerly waited for The Warning to go on stage.
The lights went out and the fully packed venue cheered with excitement as the sisters made their way to the stage. They started their set with “MORE.” The audience cheered and started to sing along and show their appreciation for the band. It didn’t take long for fans to go wild. The next song was “S!CK” and it featured drummer Paulina on vocals while drumming. Once the second song ended, bassist Alejandra let the audience know that Dany (Daniela, guitar) was sick and was unable to sing. For this show, they would be requesting help from other singers as well as the other members taking lead vocals instead. For the third song, they played “Qué Más Quieres” (Spanish for “What More Do You Want”) and they brought on stage a fan to sing the song. During the performance of “Ego,” bassist Alejandra took a rare stance at singing a song while simultaneously playing the bass. Up next is one of their newer songs “Bite My Tongue” from the new album and is easily one of the best songs on the album. For this song, they brought out Anna Schindel who also co-wrote song, so it was only fitting she helped sing it. The next song was “Bruises,” which is also off the new album. For this song, vocalist Kat Leon from the opening band Holy Wars would step in to sing the song. The audience loved every song performed and loved singing along and jumping to the music. You could tell that The Warning has a very dedicated fanbase. A few more songs were played including “Sharks,” “Ritual,” and “Hell You Call a Dream.” The end of the set was “Kerosene,” the final song on the new album. The song is also the album’s first single and reached No.1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart making The Warning the first all-women band and the first Mexican band to top the chart in its 45-year history. Daniela mustered up the strength to sing the song, so she doesn’t miss out on singing her songs. The show seemed to come to an end as The Warning said thanks to the audience and then left the stage. The crowd didn’t seem interested in going home just yet even though it was a Friday evening. After several minutes, the sisters came back out for a couple of encores. The first encore was “Evolve.” The song featured Riley Christensen from the band Speed of Light who was the opening band for nights 1 and 2. The grand finale was “Automatic Sun,” and they brought out another fan to sing the song. The three shows were a huge success and the fans loved every minute, and they surely couldn’t wait until they come back to Los Angeles. The Warning have only been around since 2013, but they have accumulated a huge fan base all over the world and sell out venues. No doubt they will be playing arenas in the near future.
